Minecraft TeamCrafted event at Club Nokia

Minecraft TeamCrafted event at Club Nokia

Marie, Atom, Richard (Atom’s friend), and myself attended the TeamCrafted event at Club Nokia. This Minecraft event was a Q-and-A event with the masters on Minecraft You-Tubers all of which Atom and Marie knew and recognized. The kids really enjoyed the meeting and seeing these guys offline. Atom and Richard gathered enough courage to get in line to ask a question. Unfortunately the Q-and-A time ran out and they didn’t get the chance to ask. They didn’t turn down the opportunity to wait almost two hours in line to meet and get their autographs and not having eaten any lunch. We arrived at Club Nokia at 11am and arrive in Whittier until 5:30pm.

Once we arrived in Whittier to pick up Jackie we had dinner at Chillie’s on Pico Rivera.

Marie’s Indian tribe project

Marie’s Indian tribe project was on the Sioux tribe. She really put in a good effort and it came out very nice!

And yes, those are Lego people depicted as Indians. Marie personally designed the outfits herself and her creative imagination. She’s such a fashionista.

Particle Fever and the Movie Too

Particle Fever and the Movie Too

The Particle Fever documentary movie finally came out. We bought tickets on fandango for the Irvine showing. As a long time fan of particle physics, this was a great opportunity to expose the kids to this awesome field and provide one compelling reason why dad buys so many books on the subject.

Atom and Marie got props from a movie goer about how well behaved they were throughout the movie and surprised that they actually wanted to come to see the movie even after they knew what it was about. I’m very proud of my future scientists!
